Ghost Hunting at Makam Di Luba - Aswana
Salam everyone. Lama dah nda ku visit blog ani. How long was it since my last story? A year? Maybe... Lets get straight to the story...
I haven't been hanging out with my old friend 'A' the one that I told you all about in my previous story. Well I guess after 2 years I suddenly visited her again and like old times we hang out.
Just recently we went for ghost hunting. It was not a thrilling night but thank god nothing really bad happen. This is my first ghost hunting with her. Well it's not just the two of us there are a group of us, five of us are girls and the other 6 are guys. We went to Makam Luba. Everything went smoothly at first until one of our friend mcm kna panggil.
One thing I love about the place is how peaceful it is... and it's very beautiful. When we got there, there are already a few people fishing on the bridge mostly Indonesians. My friend A told me that before when they tried ghost hunting here, there were no lights. Everything was pitch dark and you can only rely on the light of your torchlights. But tonight there are few lightings installed but only on the bridge pathway.
As I was saying we went there, few indos fishing and we went pass them. They all looked at us. I guess they're must be wondering what we were up to at the cemetery past midnight. We didn't even bring any fishing poles. I never went ghost hunting at Makam Di Luba before and never even visited it at daylight so it's kind of fascinating that even a cemetery could look like a beautiful park at night. While passing the river, I believe it's Sg Damuan, you can hear the wind howls fiercely, I feel goosebumps behind my neck. At the same time it also feels both eerie and fascinating.
We went up the hill to where the makam is. I can feel something was watching us from the trees while we were climbing up the stairways. I looked and saw red eyes more like few of them. Ok. stop looking. menyasal ku meliat. napatah ku liat. pretend you didn't see anything.
Up the hill I saw 2 or 3 visible tombstones. Nothing special. Then A said we should go on to the end. Everybody agreed. We went to the second part of the cemetery donwhill below, climbing down the stairs to go to the pier. everyone talked in whispers and we walked slowly. One of my friend, M, was holding to the side of the staircase. " Damit jua tangga ani. Bisai2 kamu damit tangganya" I looked at her weirdly. I looked down at the stairs. It looked normal to me. I can still climb down but the way she climbed down the stairs was as if she might fall any second.
We reached the second level cemetery area. I looked both sides. No tombstones. The place so lapang.... every now and then I saw black "monkey" like creatures running around and probly playing on the wide lawn. The lawn area looked like a never ending garden to me. As I glanced to my sides I even saw some not so cute creatures sat on the tree and watched us pass by. They didn't kacau though. They just watch us pass.
We reach the end of the Makam's pier. My friend explained to us that here is where they brought the bodies from shore to the cemetery to be buried. As in the old times the means of transport is via the river so this where they stop their journey to carry and bury them.
Nothing special going on here at the pier. Only silence. "Boring jua ghost hunting ani" I said to myself. Then I saw another black furry creature crouching on the sides of the river banks. Only me and A could see that. I gave her a sign to make a move. "Okay. Balik tah tani?" Everyone agreed in unison.
On the way back, M who thought the stairs to be "damit" suddenly stopped in her tracks and slowly as if in a trance walked towards one of the tree at the cemetery. Everyone was shocked and nobody dared to say a word.
J suddenly said to her "M. Bhapa ko?"
"Lawa jua bunga ani.."
Then everyone started panicking. They kept calling her but she ignored.
She kept saying " Lawa jua bunga ani..." and she wanted to touch it but her hands as if it rose slowly ~ mcm in slow motion ku liat (think of the matrix movie special effects) time ia angkat tangannya kan ambil bunga yg confirm nada bunga. I think at night movements tend to be slow kali. Only the creatures yg move really fast mcm the flash.
Utak ku blank mliat ia. I wanted to say something but mcm terkunci mulutku. I should say something right? but why didn't I say anything. Her hand almost touching the tree branch.
"M. Bhapa ko?" I don't know why i suddenly said it outloud. I didn't realise that I was almost shouting. She stopped. Then A called her name too. She looked at us then she looked at the tree. She looked confused. A pulled her away from the tree.
"Okay lets go back now. M u stay close to me" A said.
After that incident we all walked in silence our bodies inch closer and closer on the way back cause everyone wanted to go home fast.
At the parking lot we asked M what did she see when she was walking towards the tree. She told us she saw a very beautiful big flower and she so wanted to touch it. But then she heard us called her name. So she stopped and looked at us and when she looked back at the tree the flower was gone.
